Integrated Learning (CIL), has launched the CREST Toy Bank project aimed at collecting toys from school children and donating them to those in orphanages and anganwadis.
The initiative was launched by its youth wing CREST (Creating Resource to Empower Society Today), a release here said.
Boxes would be kept in different schools by CREST and the students can drop toys that are in working condition in these boxes. The toys would be refurbished before handing over to the orphanages and anganwadis, it said.
The project by CREST is the continuation of the 'joy of giving' initiative implemented last year in which young members collected clothes and other materials for orphanages. CREST would also keep a database of the children donating the toys.
