The victim, Rajesh, was shot at by truck owner Jaibhagwan Mittal today when he was sitting outside his spare-parts shop at the truck union market, SHO Surajbhan said.
The trouble began last night when two trucks, belonging to Mittal, were parked in the premises of the truck union office. A complaint was made to the police by Rajesh that the trucks displayed green flags, which allegedly he claimed were Pakistani flags, police said.
Today, Mittal confronted Rajesh over the incident which led to an argument, following which Mittal shot at him. The bullet pierced Rajesh's jaw and he was taken to a hospital, from where he was referred to PGI Rohtak.
A complaint has been registered against Mittal and investigations are underway, police said.
