A release from Senior Superintendent of Police (Headquarters) A K Gawas today said the training programme is being conducted in three batches, each consisting of 35 candidates.
The Self Employment Training Institute of Indian Bank which is a unit of Indian Bank Trust for Rural Development is offering the training as per the programme evolved by the Union Rural Development Ministry, it said.
Certificates would be issued by the institute at the end of the training, enabling the trainees to launch self-employment projects.
The department would also introduce facilities including ATM, creches, children's park, library and gardens for the wards and dependants.
The programmes are a sequel to the assurances Lt Governor Kiran Bedi had given during her interaction with the police personnel recently.
