: A branch of a tree fell on the locomotive of an express train coming here from New Delhi at Chingavanam near Kottayam this afternoon, but none was injured.
The 'pantograph' instrument inside the locomotive suffered some damage and was replaced, railway sources said.
The mishap occurred when the train was moving and the loco pilot applied brakes on seeing the branch falling.
Rail traffic on the Ernakulam-Kottayam-Thiruvananthapuram route was held up for a short period following the mishap.
