"Krishnappa streamlined his life for fulfilling his commitment for the social cause. Though he had to face ailments like cancer, he had a command on his body and mind, hence he successfully fought against the disease," he said.
Addressing the 'shraddhanjali sabha' of 83-year old Krishnappa, Bhagwat said an oath should be taken to follow the ideals from life and legacy of the late leader.
"We should take an oath (sankalp) that we will implement in our life whatever we learnt from Krishnappaji. Lets follow the ideals from life and legacy of Na Krishnnappaji," he said.
"His life was a clean and neat as snowwhite of Himalaya ... Krishnappaji always supported creative works and new ventures of Sangh inspired organisations like ABVP," he said.
Popular TV actor T N Sitaram said Krishnappa changed the opinion of his father, who was a Congressman, about RSS after several interactions.
