Trinamool MLA passes away in Manipur

Trinamool Congress MLA Maibam Kunjo died following protracted illness in his official residence at Babupara here.
Kunjo was 73 and died last evening, family sources said.
Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh, his cabinet colleagues and senior civil and police officials paid respect to the departed soul at his residence last evening.
Kunjo, who was elected from Hiyanglam Assembly seat in Thoubal district for five terms, was Information Minister of Manipur in 1974.
His body was cremated at his native village Hiyanglam Awang Leikai late last night.
