In a major bureaucratic reshuffle, Odisha government Wednesday gave additional charge of chief administrator of KBK, Koraput, to Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary Asit Kumar Tripathy.
Tripathy, an IAS officer of 1986 batch, is additional chief secretary in charge of the home department and the planning and convergence department.
The chief administrator of KBK (Koraput-Balangir- Kalahandi) S P Thakur has been posted as the Director General, Training Coordination, Gopabandhu Academy of Administration, Bhubaneswar.
C J Venugopal, ACS, Electronics & Information Technology department, has been appointed as a member, Board of Revenue, while 1990 batch officer Nitin Chandra has been posted as the Officer on Special Duty in the general administration and public grievance departments.
Panchayati raj and drinking water department secretary D R Kumar Singh has been given additional charge of the science and technology department.
Ranjana Chopra of 1994 batch officer has been posted as the secretary of ST & SC development, minorities & backward classes welfare department, while excise department secretary S K Lohani has been given additional charge of commercial taxes.
Food supplies and consumer welfare secretary VV Yadav has been given additional charge of cooperation department. Cooperation department secretary Krishna Kumar has been posted as the secretary of works department.
Senior IPS officer and IGP, CID, Crime Branch Arun Bothra has been posted as the Chief Executive Officer, CESU (Central Electricity Supply Utility) while 1997 batch IAS R Raghu Prasad has been posted as the secretary of fisheries & animal husbandry with additional charge of OMFED (Odisha State Cooperative Milk Producers Federation).
Vishal Gagan, who was holding additional charge as special secretary of water resources have been made full time special secretary.
Science and technology secretary B J Sarma has been posted as the secretary of social security & empowerment of persons with disability.
Archana Patnaik of 2002 batch IAS officer has been posted as the special secretary of water resources department with additional charge of the managing director of Odisha Lift Irrigation Corporation.
CESU CEO Md. Sadique Alam has been posted as executive director of CMGI (Centre for Modernizing Government Initiative) while secretary Board of Revenue Surendra Kumar Meena has been given additional charge as deputy secretary of works department.
