Following a search, seven people involved in the crime were arrested today, SSP Anant Dev said.
The incident took place last night. The accused intercepted the truck which was going to Delhi from Deoband sugar mill and looted it after forcing three people inside the vehicle to get out of it, Circle Officer Rajiv Singh said.
The truck was carrying 600 bags of sugar.
The SSP said 540 bags of sugar and the truck have been recovered while two pistols and a car have been seized from the accused.
