"It will be known as the TT Maha League and we have given a Mumbai-based agency to conduct the league," Table Tennis Federation of India secretary general Choudhary told PTI.
As was announced, the lucrative eight-franchise league will carry a prize purse of Rs 1 crore and will take place from May 28-June 22.
"Each of the eight franchises will have four Indians and four foreign players. All the top players from the country including Achanta Sharath Kamal will participate," said Choudhary.
According to the TTFI, this franchise league will get a dedicated window by the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF).
