"Personally this is a dream come true for me. Now the smoking garbage dumps welcoming visitors to the state capital will be a thing of the past," Tuki said after inaugurating the project in presence of urban development (UD) minister Rajesh Tacho, and other senior ministers and officials here.
Tuki, during his tenure as Minister of Urban development, had visited a similar project in Shillong undertaken by the Anderson Biotech Pvt Ltd and since then he had been pursuing to set up a solid waste management plant in the state.
It will be operated by the Shillong based Anderson Biotech Pvt Ltd, which also undertook its construction and installation, on turn-key basis for three years by paying a fixed revenue per annum to the state government.
