A "Vishwa Tulu Sammelana" (Taulava Ucchaya) will be held here under the auspices of Tulunadu Rakshana Vedike on February 23 and 24 next year as part of the decennial celebrations of the Vedike, the organisation's founder-president Yogish Shetty said Saturday.
Addressing reporters here, he said several programmes including cultural events, art and crafts of Tulu culture, drama, dance and Yakshagana performances would be held during the two-day event.
He said Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, Leader of Opposition B S Yeddyurappa, state Ministers Jayamala, U T Khader and Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel would be invited for the function.
The Vedike would pass a resolution demanding a separate railway division for Mangaluru, he said.
