TV actors like Sushant Singh Rajput, Rajiv Khandelwal, Yami Gautam, Prachi Desai, Ronit Roy and Ram Kapoor have found success on the silver screen.
Eijaz, who has worked in movies like "Tanu Weds Manu" and "Zilla Ghaziabad", believes the trend of TV stars crossing over to Bollywood is here to stay.
"Finally, TV actors are doing good on the silver screen and they are being received well by the audience. The thin line between a TV actor and a movie actor is blurring.
Eijaz's debut lead film 'Lucky Kabootar' will hit theatres soon and the 37-year-old actor is excited about it.
"It's my first solo film. It's a comedy and I hope audience likes it. The film is being directed by Shammi Chabra. I am paired opposite Kulraj Randhawa and Shraddha Das in the film," he said.
Eijaz, who is recovering from a shoulder injury, recently made an entry into Star Plus's show 'Diya Aur Baati Hum' as a quiz master.
"'Diya Aur Baati Hum' is a progressive show. Sandhya (female lead) is a part of this quiz and if she wins then only her mother-in-law will let her pursue her dream of becoming an IPS officer.
"I am happy to associate myself with the show because it's a double bonanza. I am getting a chance to host a show for the first time and also returning to the channel where I started my career from," said Eijaz, who started his career with popular TV show 'Kesar'.
"God has really been kind to me. He gave me whenever I needed something. He gave me a very sweet person Natalie, who is a loving and caring person. Now, I have learnt to enjoy each day of my life," he said.
