TV18 Broadcast launches Gujarati channel 'CNBC Bajar'

The channel would offer a mix of live markets coverage and feature shows on aspects such as personal finance & property

Media firm TV18 Broadcast today launched a new business channel 'CNBC Bajar' in the Gujarati language.

The new Gujrati channel is partnered by Infibeam.Com in association with Adani and Ganesh Housing, TV18 Broadcast said in a statement.

"Designed for India's most vibrant community, dedicated to the original entrepreneurs and global Indians, CNBC Bajar is a tool for Gujaratis to make most of every business and trading day," it added.

The channel would offer a mix of live markets coverage from NSE, BSE, commodities, currency among others and feature shows on aspects such as personal finance, entrepreneurship, property and lifestyle.

Commenting on the development, CNBC channels and Forbes India CEO Anil Uniyal said: "With the launch of CNBC BAJAR, our company has become India's only truly diversified business news network with unmatched presence across platforms. We can only go upwards from here."

The new business channel would get editorial back up from other group channels of CNBC Universe as CNBC TV18 and CNBC Awaz.
