On June 10, the journalist had given her complaint to the police and an FIR was registered under section 354D of the IPC at Vasant Vihar police station. The sections relate to stalking.
According to police, the complainant wrote that for many months, after the repeal of IT Act section 66A, the anonymous Twitter handle had been posting defamatory tweets about her.
The Delhi Police have contacted Twitter asking details of the handle and identity of the user. Cops are yet to identify the user of the account.
"We have started the investigation and are trying to identify the user of the Twitter account," a senior police officer said.
