According to the police, Ramesh (25) and Suraj (19), both residents of Madangir, were arrested from Khokha Market, Saket after police received a tip off about them.
"The gang would distract the driver/person sitting in the car by throwing currency notes on the ground near the driver's gate and would ask the driver to get his money on the road or tell him that fuel or oil from the car was leaking.
On Saturday, the gang looted one Anil Somani, a businessman of Safdarjung Enclave by applying the same modus operandi when he was going from Delhi to Dehradun to take part in a jewelry exhibition and a FIR in this context was registered at Murad Nagar police station, said a police official.
During investigations, on Monday, police received information that two men involved in such crimes would come to Khokha Market, Saket to dispose of stolen jewelry worth several lakh of rupees.
