The motorcycle which Vishal and Hardip, both 21-year-old, were riding, was hit by a tanker, following which they lost control over the two-wheeler and hit a road divider, in charge of Civil Lines police station Omprakash said.
The driver of the tanker managed to flee the spot after the accident. The duo were rushed to the local hospital where they died during treatment, he said.
A case has been registered against the absconding tanker driver and hunt was on to nab him, police said, adding investigation was underway.
