The incident took place near the Mahavir temple premises as three students from Purnia district, who had come here to appear in a polytechnic examination, were pushed down the Badi Pahari (hilly terrain) after they resisted bid to loot them by the miscreants.
Two examinees, identified as Rahul Kumar and Sujit Kumar, died on the spot, while Sarvajit Kumar sustained injuries.
One of the miscreant Lal Kumar also got injured after he too fell from the hills during scuffle with the boys, police said.
The three examinees had come here to appear in the polytechnic examination at the high school located at the Badi Pahari.
