The court had, last week, convicted Sameer Khan and Suchit Kumar, but acquitted co-accused Sohal Lal Gupta and Sandeep Waroshe.
"Khan and Kumar have got life imprisonment as the court found them guilty of kidnapping for ransom," said advocate Santosh Deshpande, who represented Gupta and Waroshe.
According to prosecution, Khan picked up the boy, Karnit Shah, from outside his residence in suburban Mumbai and took him to his (Khan's) house. From there Khan and Kumar took the boy first to Nashik, and later to Uttar Pradesh.
During the trial, the prosecution examined 40 witnesses including Karnit, whose detailed deposition on the roles of the each accused bolstered the case.
However the prosecution could not prove the conspiracy theory, added Deshpande.
