Police seized nearly half kg mephedrone worth Rs 18 lakh from a car in Maharashtra's Palghar district and arrested two persons, an official said Wednesday.
Acting on a tip-off, police searched a car near Charoti toll naka on Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway Tuesday and recovered the banned drug from possession of its occupants, an official said.
The accused are identified as Omar Usman Khan and Vasim Abdul Sattar Shaikh, he said.
Both are residents of Mumbai.
The duo were booked under various sections of the Narcotics Drug and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
Furher investigation is underway.
