Two people were killed and one person was injured when a speeding car hit a divider and overturned on NH-27 in Baran district on Saturday afternoon, police said.
Six members of a family were travelling in the vehicle which was headed for Udaipur, they said, adding that the accident occurred near the Bhanwargarh petrol pump.
The family was from Chatarpur in Madhya Pradesh and the deceased were identified as Sadhna Jain (35) and Prassan Jain (35), Bhanwargarh police station SHO Virendra Singh said.
Manish Thakur, the driver, sustained injuries and was undergoing treatment, he added.
Two children travelling in the car escaped unhurt, Singh said, adding that a case under relevant sections would be lodged in the matter after initial inquiry was over.
