One person was killed and two others were injured when lightning struck them at Baliapal area of Balasore district.
The police said a 55-year-old man was struck by lightning when he was catching fish in a pond at Kenduadiha village in Balasore district.
Two women of Katisahi village received burn injuries in lightning and have been admitted to Baliapal hospital of Balasore district, they said.
A report from Kendrapara district said a 65-year-old farmer was killed by lightning when was cultivating his land in Chotti village, officials said.
