Two new live-action "X-Men" TV series are finally becoming a reality with "Legion" and "Hellfire".
FX is partnering with Agents of SHIELD's Jeph Loeb, "X-Men" producers Bryan Singer and Simon Kinberg as well as "Fargo" creator Noah Hawley for the live-action Legion pilot.
Fans of the "X-Men" comic books will likely know that "Legion" is the code name of the vastly powerful mutant psychic David Charles Haller, the son of Professor Charles Xavier and Holocaust survivor Gabrielle Haller, reported Digital Spy.
"Since he was a teenager, David has struggled with mental illness. Diagnosed as schizophrenic, David has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals for years.
"But after a strange encounter with a fellow patient, he's confronted with the possibility that the voices he hears and the visions he sees might be real," FX said about the show.
"Legion is just the sort of ambitious story that Noah excels at," FX programming president Nick Grad said.
"His adaption of Fargo for television was one of the most acclaimed television events in recent memory. It's also an honour to partner with Marvel on Legion and to enlist such an accomplished team of executive producers to create this pilot.
