Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today flagged off two vans of Digital India Outreach Campaign from his official residence here.
Flagging off the vehicles, Das said such campaigns were important to penetrate Digital India Services in rural and semi urban areas and were an important tool for bridging the Digital Divide.
He recalled Prime Minister Narendra Modi's words --- "India's talent plus information technology is equal to India tomorrow".
"Awareness (of Digital India programme) is important. Change will come through hard work," Das said.
According to a release, two campaign vehicles would cover 24 districts and the vans will stay in each district for 20 to 25 days.
The objective of the campaign is to create awareness about the programme and its major initiatives through various point of presence like 'Digi Sewa Kendras', panchayats, schools, colleges, haats etc.
The vans are equipped with audio visual facilities, Net connectivity and others and will inform and educate citizens in rural areas, especially to the youth, about the initiatives of Digital India in an interactive manner, the release said.
People will be informed about services like Digital Postal Services, Digital Services by state governments, National Scholarship Portal, Digital Locker and Aadhaar.
Comparing with bigger brands like Flipkart and Snapdeal,
LeMall put on a brave front, considering it is just one month old. In this very short span of time, LeMall's traffic touched an incredible feat that is equal to 7 percent of Flipkart's and 12 percent of Snapdeal's non app traffic. This performance only signifies the growing popularity of LeEco Superphones. The above mentioned data have been sourced from publicly accessible traffic ranking websites like SimilarWeb, Alexa and others.
Two major reasons can be attributed for this stupendous stride that LeMall made in India. One is the popularity of its merchandise i.E. Le Superphones and accessories. The second is that non-travel e-commerce market in India is being driven by mobile phones and accessories.
This foothold in the Indian market by LeMall India will
further strengthen its parent company, global Internet ecosystem conglomerate LeEco and help it tighten its grip in this cluttered Indian smartphone market.
Apart from Superphones, LeMall India also sells a wide range of products including LeEco's bluetooth headphones, bluetooth speakers, reverse in-ear headphones, all-metal earphones and lossless audio earphones.
LeMall conducted its first flash sale for LeEco's second generation Superphones in India on June 28, 2016 and within 77 seconds they were sold out. LeMall has tied up with trustworthy and reliable logistic partners in India and assures a smooth, fast and hassle-free delivery.
About LeMall:
LeMall was launched in 2013 in China by Internet technology conglomerate LeEco [formerly Letv] as the e-commerce channel of LeEco. Already a hugely popular e-commerce site in the US, mainland China, and Hong Kong, LeMall was officially launched in India in June, 2016.
LeMall India is committed to giving customers a superior online shopping experience and the privilege of preferential access to Le Ecosystem, a next-generation multi-platform Internet engine that is vertically integrated to deliver premium content, devices and applications. The exciting range of LeEco's gadgets and accessories, available on LeMall India, is expected to usher amazing lifestyle enhancing experiences powered by tomorrow's technology.
