U'khand sends 25 buses, officials to quake-hit Nepal

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat today said the state government has sent 25 buses and a team of officials to help in relief operations in earthquake-hit Nepal.
Talking to reporters here today, Rawat said Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh had called him up seeking assistance to evacuate stranded tourists in affected areas bordering Uttarakhand.
He said he has asked state Chief Secretary N Ravi Shankar to keep in touch with officials in Nepal on the rescue and relief efforts.
