Suspected ultras of the banned Tritiya Prastuti Committee (TPC) abducted a security guard of a road construction company in Jharkhand's Ramgarh district, the police said on Wednesday.
Ramgarh superintendent of police Prabhat Kumar said that the 32-year-old man was abducted Tuesday night along with another security guard.
The man was on duty as night guard near the Chitarpur-Rajrappa temple four-lane road construction site being carried out by a private company, he said.
The second security guard was later freed, the SP said adding pamphlets found from the site of the abduction indicate that it was the handiwork of TPC ultras.
A special investigation team, headed by additional superintendent of police (operation) Gulshan Tirkey, has been formed to rescue the security guard, he added.
