Undertrial dies at Mathura district hospital, magisterial

An undertrial, who had developed chest pain, succumbed at the district hospital today, with his family alleging that he was administered poison following which a magisterial probe has been ordered.
"He has been given poison," the brother of the deceased alleged.
"A magisterial probe has been ordered and attempts would be made for providing him maximum relief from the government," City Magistrate Ram Araj Yadav said.
"Undertrial Rahish Qureshi, 27, was brought to the hospital in an unconscious state and prima facie he had cardio respiratory arrest," Dr M Bansal, officiating Chief Medical Superintendent said, adding that in spite of life saving treatment given to him by physician Dr Ravi Maheshwari, he could not be saved.

According to jail Superintendent P D Salonia, Qureshi was admitted in jail after being booked by police on March 27 under Arms Act. He was first admitted to a jail hospital when he complained of chest pain this morning.
He was rushed to district hospital when the pain aggravated.
"The post-mortem was conducted with a panel of two doctors and one pharmacist," City Magistrate said, adding the videography of post-mortem was also conducted.
