Congress leader Ajit Jogi, who is learnt to be unhappy over the recent changes in party unit in Chhattisgarh, today met party chief Sonia Gandhi apparently to convey his reservations.
"Current political situation was discussed in the meeting," he told reporters after meeting Gandhi.
Congress recently re-constituted the PCC, elevating as the party unit chief Union minister Charan Das Mahant with whom Jogi does not share the best of relations.
Jogi himself was made a member in the Pradesh Election and Coordination committees and his wife Renu has been included in the list of 15 vice presidents. However, his son Amit failed to secure a place in any of the committees set up on Saturday.
Asked whether he discussed his grievance about being ignored in the party reconstitution in the state, Jogi said, "I cannot tell you what was discussed between me and my leadership."
Gandhi had earlier met party Vice Rahul Gandhi separately at his residence on Monday.
At these meetings, he is understood to have conveyed his unhappiness.
A few days ago, Jogi had said that while other PCC chiefs met him after taking the charge, Mahant did not.
Asked whether he is happy with the reconstituted PCC, Jogi had said on Monday, "There is no question of being satisfied or not satisfied. It's a decision by party president. All of us have to respect and honour it. Now it has gone beyond the limits of our satisfaction or dissatisfaction."
Sources close to Jogi, have maintained that the leader was not consulted before the list of the reconstituted PCC and other bodies was finalised.
Assembly elections are scheduled in the BJP-ruled state this year and Congress has been ridden by factionalism for quite a long time.
