The company had posted a net profit from ordinary activities after tax, exceptional items and share of associates of Rs 9.82 crore during the same quarter in 2014-15 fiscal, Unichem Laboratories said in a BSE filing.
Standalone total income from operations rose to Rs 301.51 crore in the January-March period of 2015-16 fiscal as against Rs 255.99 crore in the year-ago period.
For the entire fiscal, the firm reported a net profit of Rs 100.56 crore compared with Rs 64.39 crore a year ago.
The firm said its board has recommended that the interim dividend of Rs 2 per equity share paid on March 28, 2016, be considered as the final dividend for the year ended March 31, 2016.
Unichem Laboratories shares were trading 1.79 per cent down at Rs 264 on BSE in the pre-close session.
