He was welcomed by temple trustees Jayaraj Pai, Padmanabha Pai and Adige Balakrishna Shenoy, temple sources said.
The minister, who represents the North Goa constituency, was accompanied by former Karnataka Deputy Speaker Yogish Bhat.
After offering worship to the presiding deity Lord Shri Veera Venkatesha and Goddess Sharada installed as part of Navaratri celebrations, the minister said he had heard a lot about the shrine and this was his first visit here.
The minister also visited the Parthagali Shri Gokarna Mutt.
