UP Assembly concerned over judiciary overruling its decision

Uttar Pradesh Vidhan Sabha today expressed serious concern over a recent incident of judiciary overruling its directions regarding the transfer of a SHO in Jaunpur district.
The matter came up through a question of propriety in the Zero Hour by BJP MLA Seema Dwivedi, who said that the SHO, who was recently transferred on the directions of the House after she brought the incident to its notice, continued to remain on the same post.
She informed that the SHO has been posted at the same police station four times.
Leader of the BJP legislature group, Hukum Singh said that the said police officer continued on the post following an order that he got from the High Court in his interest.

Citing the court's observation which stated "prima facie it appears that the transfer order is not in public interest....But is in the political interest in order to please the local MLA", Singh termed it most unfortunate.
Responding to the BJP leader's comment, Parliamentary Affairs minister Azam Khan said that flouting of the Vidhan Sabha Speaker's order is a serious matter and it demands strict action.

Referring to the court's observation, Khan said that the "derogatory" sentence is not against one MLA but for all and also called for approaching the Supreme Court for getting it deleted.
The Speaker Mata Prasad Pandey, while saying that advocate general would be asked to apprise the court about the views of the House on the matter, cited rules to stress that judiciary cannot review the proceedings of the Legislature.

The BJP members asked Pandey to direct the government to ensure that his (speaker's) orders on the transfer of the SHO be implemented.
