State BJP chief Laxmi Kant Bajpai told reporters here that the state EC's claim that it was conducting peaceful and fair local body elections was "empty".
"Incomplete voter lists, inadequate security arrangements and free run to SP workers by the administration were the cause of large scale irregularities in the election," he alleged.
He also alleged that SP workers were given free run which resulted in incidents of violence.
Bajpai demanded deployment of RAF along with civil police at places where EVMs are kept, installation of CCTVs and permission to a member of each contesting party to stay there.
