As soon as the proceedings in the upper House started, opposition members stood up and raising slogans, trooped in to the Well, except Congress members.
BSP members demanded as the name of a minister figured in the sting operation, the matter should be discussed in the House.
Despite repeated efforts of Chairman Ganesh Shanker Pandey, the House did not come to order, forcing him to adjourn proceeding for 10 minutes, which was later extended for five minutes.
In between the adjournments BJP members remained in the Well.
Later on, Leader of the House Ahmad Hassan presented the supplementary demand for current fiscal amid the ruckus.
When repeated attempts of the Chairman to bring the House in order turned futile, he adjourned the House for the day.
