The cops have been identified as constable Durgesh Pathak, constable Manoj Chowdhary and SI Anjani Kumar, police said.
According to the complaint, Dr Rakesh Kumar was on duty at emergency ward of the hospital and at around 1.30 am, Pathak, who was in uniform, came in an inebriated state and had some injuries.

Durgesh, posted at Dohrighat in Mau district, was on leave yesterday and he met with an accident in Sahjanwa and came to Gorakhpur in a ambulance. It came to our knowledge that he had an altercation with the doctor which later turned violent, police said.
