"We welcome this budget, which is indicative of national development vision of Prime Minister Modi," Upadhyay said here.
The BJP leader said that the rebates announced on the savings and medical expenses will benefit the middle class and now the people earning about Rs 4 lakh per year may not be liable to pay income tax.
"Delhi is also a city of Central Government employees and the announcement that the seventh pay commission will submit its recommendation next year is also a ray of hope for them," he said.
"After many years a budget presented by majority party government is not for political objective but for bringing the Indian economy back on its track," he added.
