Urad, arhar rise on rising demand

Urad and arhar prices firmed up to Rs 200 per quintal at the wholesale market today following rising demand against restricted arrivals from producing regions.
In the national capital, urad and its dal chilka local moved up by Rs 200 each to Rs 6,000-6,400 and Rs 7,200-7,400, while urad dal best quality and dhoya traded higher by the same margin to Rs 7,450-8,050 and Rs 7,700-8,100 per quintal respectively.
Arhar and its dal dara variety also enquired higher by Rs 50 each to Rs 4,400-4,500 and Rs 5,600-5,900 per quintal respectively.
Following are today's pulses rates (in Rs per quintal):
Urad 6,000-6,400, Urad Chilka (local) 7,200-7,400, best 7,450-8,050, Dhoya 7,700-8,100, Moong 6,200-7,200, Dal Moong Chilka local 7,200-7,700, Moong Dhoya local 7,100-7,400 and best quality 7,900-8,000.
Masoor small 5,000-5,300, bold 5,000-5,400, Dal Masoor local 5,900-6,000, best quality 6,000-6,100, Malka local 5,700-6,000, best 5,900-6,000, Moth 4,700-5,000, Arhar 4,400-4,500, Dal Arhar Dara 5,600-5,900.
Gram 2,800-3,600, Gram Dal (local) 3,550-3,750, best quality 3,650-3,750, Besan (35 kg) Shakti bhog 1,400, Rajdhani 1,400, Rajmah Chitra 5,200-8,700, Kabli Gram small 3,600-6,000, dabra 2,700-2,800, imported 4,700-5,100, Lobia 4,600-5,800, Peas white 2,900-2,950 and green 2,900-3,050.
