Traders said stockists buying to meet rising demand from retailers amid restricted arrivals from producing belts mainly led to the rise in urad and masoor prices.
In the national capital, urad and its dal chilka local moved up by Rs 200 each to Rs 7,050-7,500 and Rs 8,050-8,250 per quintal respectively. Its dal best quality and dhoya were enquired higher by a similar margin to Rs 8,200-8,800 and Rs 8,600-9,100 per quintal respectively.
