Several American lawmakers have condemned the terror attack on Amarnath pilgrims in Kashmir this week that killed seven people including six women.
"I join my colleagues in denouncing the terrorist attack on Hindu pilgrims in Kashmir. We mourn the innocent lives lost and prayer for the loved ones," said Indiana Senator Joe Donnelly.
Congressman Todd Rokita said that terrorism has no place in the world and he was standing in full support of India as the people grieve over this tragedy.
"I join the world in condemning the terrorist attack on Hindu pilgrims in Kashmir. My thoughts are with the victims and their families," said Congressman Todd Young.
Congressman Pete Sessions, who is the chairman of the powerful House Committee on Rules, said the attack on pilgrims was a display of cowardice and thuggery.
"(I) strongly condemn this action," Sessions added.
"My prayers are with the Amarnath Yatra pilgrims who were victims of the July 10 terrorist attack. Religious Freedom is the bedrock of liberty," Congressman Mike Conaway said.
Congresswoman Nita Lowey said the world must stand united against terrorist violence, wherever it occurs.
"Sending sincere condolences to the families of the pilgrims killed by terrorists as they returned from the Amaranth Cave in Kashmir," she added.
