Industries and Commerce Minister Captain Abhimanyu said the state government has taken this decision to provide relief to entrepreneurs, who would now not have to visit the board at short intervals, he said in a release here.
Entrepreneurs have to take clearance from the State Pollution Control Board for setting up industries and so far, industries falling in the red category get clearance of two years, whereas those in the orange category get clearance for three years, Abhimanyu said.
The Technical Advisory Committee of Haryana State Pollution Control Board had given approval for it and the draft would now be presented in the meeting of the board to be held on September 29, after which it would be implemented, he said.
With the increase in clearance period of industries, checks would be imposed to curb any corrupt activity in this sector, he added.
