Valuables worth around Rs 5 lakh looted from jewellery shop

Cash and valuables worth around Rs 5 lakh were allegedly looted from a jewellery shop at Chhutmalpur village under Fatehpur police station area in this district, police said here today.
Senior Superintendent of Police Jagdish Sharma said that thieves broke into the jewellery shop on Kamalpur road last night.
They decamped with 12 Kg silver, approximately valuing Rs 4,20,000, 12 gram gold, worth around Rs 60,000 and cash amounting to Rs 10,000, he said.
Police have registered the case and are investigating the matter, the SSP added.
