Cancer care solutions firm Varian Medical Systems has said it has successfully completed the acquisition of Cancer Treatment Services International (CTSI).
Earlier in May this year, the company had announced entering into a definitive agreement to acquire CTSI from TPG Growth for USD 283 million (over Rs 1,970 crore).
CTSI operates a network of cancer treatment facilities across India and South Asia, including several brands such as the American Oncology Institute, US-based CTSI Oncology Solutions, and AmPath, an integrated reference laboratory and pathology services provider in India.
This transaction will increase Varian's expertise in cancer center operations, allowing for new partnerships globally to deliver world-class, value-based care in developed and emerging markets, the company had said.
