Actors Rahul Bose and Mandira Bedi are event ambassadors for the Marathon.
Vasai-Virar Mayor Pravina Thakur said over 17,000 participants across 40 categories are expected to take to the streets on the race day, vying for a piece of the Rs 35 lakh prize money.
Online registrations have begun while physical registration for the event will begin from October 23.
