Union Minister Sudarshan Bhagat calls on Nagaland CM

Union Minister Sudarshan Bhagat called on Nagaland Chief Minister T R Zeliang here today.
The chief minister apprised the Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs about the recent damages caused by unusual heavy rain in the state, according to a CMO release.
Zeliang appealed to the Union Minister to assist the state government to put in place Bailey bridges in different parts of the state as bridges have been washed away by floods.
A proposal in this regard was submitted to the Union Minister in written, CMO sources said.
The Union Minister assured that the matter would be examined and taken up in an appropriate manner.
The Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs is on a three-day visit to Nagaland.
He is scheduled to reach Tizit in Mon district along with Advisor to Chief Minister for Planning, C M Chang tomorrow.
Earlier in the day, the Chief Minister held a meeting with the three competing Project Management Consultants who had submitted their Expression of Interest for implementing Kohima Smart City project, a CMO release said.
Three firms - SREI Infrastructure Finance Limited, WAPCOS Limited and Voyants-PWC have submitted EOI for the project.
The chief minister has called for expediting the selection process so that the smart city project could commence at the earliest.
