Vasisht claims boys' title, Zeel lifts girls trophy

Karnataka's Vasisht Vinod Cherukku came from a set down to clinch the boys' singles title by getting the better of Nitin Kumar Sinha of Bengal, while Gujarat's Zeel Desai won the girls' singles trophy comfortably at the Adidas MCC National Junior tennis championship here today.
While ninth seeded Vasisht beat Nitin, 15th seed, 6-2 3-6 6-1, Zeel outplayed Tamil Nadu's R Abhinika 6-4 6-2 in the boys and girls finals, respectively.
M A Alagappan, President of Tamil Nadu Cricket Association and Ajit Kumbhat, President of Madras Cricket Club gave away the prizes.
