Video clip: Elderly man dies in son's lap on way to hospital

A video clip of a youth rushing his elderly father to a hospital who died midway in his lap has gone viral on the social media.
The clip shows Bablu, whose village falls under Asanpur Kanhai police station, carrying his father Afzal (65) to the district hospital.
According to the Chief Medical Officer UK Pandey, Afzal was admitted to Community Health Centre (CHC), Bilkhardham, yesterday after he developed some of breathing problem.
He was discharged this morning but on the way back to home he again felt unwell and brought back to the CHC.
The doctors there referred him to the district hospital, the CMO claimed.

The CMO said there was no negligence on the part of medical department and a phone call was made for ambulance which took some time to arrive.

In the meantime his son tried to take Afzal to the district hospital on his own but Afzal died midway, he said.
The CMO said so far no complaint has been made by the son, who has taken the body home.
In case any complaint is filed, the matter will be thoroughly probed, the CMO added.
