The video, which runs for one minute and 47 seconds, was released by the director in his official twitter account.
The movie is a sequel to the earlier blockbuster "Endhiran", released in 2010.
'Endhiran', released as "Robot" in other languages, also had Rajinikanth in the lead role.
Amy Jackson is the heroine in '2.0' which has music scored by double oscar winner A R Rahman.
Lyca Productions is producing the film which is expected to be released on January 25, 2018.
