Videocon Industries to extend current fiscal for 3 months

Videocon Industries today said it would extend its current fiscal for three months to adopt the April-March financial year.
The board of the company, in a meeting held today, "accorded their approval to extend the current financial year by a period of three months", Videocon Industries informed the BSE.
The company followed the January-December fiscal.
"As such, the current accounting year shall be a period of 15 months beginning on January 01, 2016 and ending on March 31, 2017.
"The subsequent financial years, as such, shall begin on 1st April and will end on the following 31st March every year," it added.

Videocon Industries operates in four segments -- consumer electronics and home appliances, crude oil and natural gas, telecommunication and power.
