Vikram Singh Puar, a member of the former royal family of Dewas, has been acquitted by a court here in a murder case.
Puar is the son of BJP MLA Gayatri Raje.
He and 12 others were accused of killing a person over a land dispute at Raghogarh village in Dewas district on March 18, 2015.
While all other accused were acquitted on December 17, 2016, Puar, who was absconding and surrendered in January 2017, faced a separate trial, his counsel Ashok Verma said.
On Wednesday, Additional Sessions Judge Joginder Singh acquitted Puar.
Pratap Lodhi and two others were injured during a scuffle over the possession of a piece of land, owned by the Puar family.
Lodhi died during treatment at a hospital in Indore on March 22, 2015, following which a case of murder was lodged against Puar and others.
Advocate Verma said that the prosecution could not establish that Puar was present when the incident took place, as witnesses did not back the prosecution.
Puar's father Tukojirao Puar was a BJP minister in Madhya Pradesh. He died in June 2015.
Government lawyer Girish Mungi said the prosecution would decide whether to file an appeal after receiving the judgement copy.
