Vodafone launches dedicated helpline for senior citizens

Vodafone India today launched Vodafone Treasures, a dedicated helpline and door-step assistance for senior citizens. The helpline number is: 9830198301. 

Launching the service, Vodafone business head (Kolkata & West Bengal) Anand Sahai said the company has reached two crore subscriber base in West Bengal representing a major milestone for the company which thus established a leadership position in terms of subscribers and revenue marketshare.

Asked about call drop and network issues in West Bengal, Sahai said there was no major issue involved and blamed inability to install cell towers in government buildings for signal vacuum in certain pockets.

He said that the company was continuously setting up towers in the city as well as other state circles but declined to share infrastructure installation details it proposes in 2015.

Vodafone boasts a subscriber base of 49.94 lakh in Kolkata and 154 lakh in the rest of West Bengal. Data contribution in city is 25% and 11% in the rest of the Bengal circles on overall revenue.
