The Governor, who is also chairman of the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB), conducted aerial reconnaissance of Pahalgam-Panjtarni route and visited Sheshnag Yatra Camp to review security arrangements of the annual pilgrimage slated to begin on July 2, an official spokesperson said.
Accompanied by Chief Executive Officer of SASB, P K Tripathi, Vohra also reviewed establishment of hospital, shelter sheds, langars, tents, shops, pre-fabricated huts, toilets and baths, he said.
Vohra had discussions with Commanding Officer of 10 Mahar Regiment Colonel Mahendra Pal Singh Mourya and senior officers of state police, CRPF, BSF and leader of the Avalanche Rescue Team about arrangements to be made on the tracks during the 58-day long yatra, the spokesperson said.
