The materials were arranged from the Army, ITBP, PRD anddisaster management department by the district administration that has started preparationto protect polling personnels in the high-altitude areas.
"We have sent the material to the sub-divisional headquarters of Dharchula and Munsiyari in the constituency. The election officers will make sure to distribute the materials, " District Election OfficerPithoragarh Ranjit Sinha said.
He said the materials will be sent by mules to polling booths as these are not connected by motor-able roads.
Solar lanterns, wireless, radio sets are being installed in 64 booths with no electricity connectionsandno communication facilities, the officer said.
